I'm mostly known as alexskyline on deviantART, and I enjoy my little gallery there very much. Nevertheless, I always wanted to get a separate, more personal place where I could post everything I want. Tumblr seemed like a good option at first, but eventually all the pretty reblogged stuff took over. So...here I am at last. :)

My decision to start a blog was also inspired by the many nail art and polish-related sites I've been actively browsing lately. However, this place is not going to become one of them. Or...at least, not completely. ;D

So, allow to introduce myself to give you an idea of what to expect from this blog, and what are the reasons to follow it. Keep reading!


My name is Aleksandra — so you can call me Alex or Sasha. I'm a fifth-year translation student from Perm, Russia. I'll be writing my posts in English, but feel free to write me in Russian or French, too!

My interests and passions are truly numerous, so let me list a few to begin with.

I adore cars and consider myself a petrolhead. Even my nickname comes from Nissan Skyline! Another thing I love is photography, and my ultimate dream is to combine these things and become an automotive photographer! My camera is Sony A350, but sometimes I also use a Nokia N8 for snapshots.

Needless to say, my favourite TV-show in the world is Top Gear! BBC Sherlock and Doctor Who are among others I'm a big fan of. Yep, I just can't help myself loving everything British! :D Visiting the United Kingdom is another dream of mine.

See that BFMV booklet? Let's talk music, shall we! I listen to various genres, but the dearest to me are all kinds of rock. Linkin Park, Papa Roach, Avenged Sevenfold, Simple Plan, Rise Against, 30 Seconds To Mars, Three Days Grace, My Chemical Romance, Breaking Benjamin, Pendulum, Rammstein, Seether, to name just a few!

Furthermore, I'm absolutely keen on everything handmade! I like polymer clay and take special pride in my miniature guitar charms.

Lastly (hope I didn't tire you too much yet!), I can't imagine my life without travelling, despite being a huge stay-at-home. I spend a fair amount of time in Valencia, Spain — my second home ❤ — which makes an excellent starting point for trips in any direction. I've been to quite many places, but there's still much, much more to see!

And so, this is who I am and this is what I like!~♪♫ All these and many other things will surely find their place in this blog. I'll do my best to make my posts equally interesting and beautiful, as well as versatile. The only thing I can't ensure is their schedule-like regularity — I'm kind of rubbish with the timey-wimey stuff. ^^;
